Wooden Table Lamps Under ₹3,000 in India: What You Actually Get
Share
Short answer: around ₹3,000 you can buy a handmade solid-wood table lamp from NixWoods in four designs. The Luma Pillar (₹1,599) suits a bedside table, the Rosewood Vintage Edison (₹2,499) a bedside or desk, the Globe Edison (₹2,999) a living-room side table, and the Rubik's Cube lamp in Candy Glass (₹2,999) a desk, shelf or gift. All four plug straight into a wall socket.
Each figure is the price on 27 October 2026, read from our own store that morning. Prices can change, so the product page is always the final word.
The four wooden table lamps under ₹3,000
Every lamp below is listed as solid wood with no MDF and no veneer on its product page, and each carries a 3-year warranty on the wood and 1 year on the electricals (terms of sale). They are made by hand, so the grain differs from one piece to the next.
| Lamp | Wood | Light type | Size (from the product page) | Best for | Price on 27 Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Luma Pillar | Solid wood (species not named on the page) | Built-in warm LED, soft and diffused | Not listed | Bedside, living-room console | ₹1,599 |
| Rosewood Vintage Edison | Solid rosewood | Edison filament bulb (included), brass dimmer | Base 6.5 × 3.5 × 3 in | Bedside, study desk, gift | ₹2,499 |
| Globe Edison | Solid rosewood | Round Globe Edison filament bulb (included), brass dimmer | Base 6.5 × 2.5 × 2.25 in | Living-room side table, console | ₹2,999 |
| Rubik's Cube lamp | Solid sheesham base, glass block | Built-in warm LED (3000K stated), turn the block for red, green or amber | Glass 8 × 8 × 3 in, base 9 × 4.5 in | Gift, desk, shelf, bedside | ₹2,999 (Candy Glass); Bubble Glass ₹3,199, Ocean Glass ₹3,299 |
Luma Pillar: the quiet bedside light
A vertical wooden pillar with an integrated warm LED inside it. Its product page describes the light as soft and evenly diffused, meant for mood rather than brightness, and it answers yes to both bedside and living-room use. At ₹1,599 it is the least expensive lamp in the range. The page does not name the wood species or give dimensions, so if either matters to you, ask us on WhatsApp before ordering.

Rosewood Vintage Edison: the classic with a real dimmer
A dense solid-rosewood block with an exposed Edison filament bulb and a knurled brass knob that dims it from a low glow to full brightness. The bulb is included, and it is a standard Edison-style screw bulb, so you can replace it later with any warm-white filament bulb. At ₹2,499 it sits in the middle of a ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 gift budget.

Globe Edison: the living-room statement
The same idea with a rounder, larger Globe Edison bulb on a solid-rosewood base, again with a brass dimmer and the bulb included. Its page positions it for console tables, bar carts and living-room corners, where a bigger visible bulb reads as a focal point. If the question is "a good-looking lamp for my living room around ₹3,000", this is the closest match at ₹2,999.

Rubik's Cube lamp: the conversation piece
A glass block on a solid sheesham (Indian rosewood) base, lit by a built-in warm LED. Three faces of the glass are hand-painted red, green and amber; turn the block and the light takes on that colour. There are no buttons, no remote and nothing to charge. The Candy Glass finish (a faceted grid) is ₹2,999; the Bubble Glass and Ocean Glass finishes are just over the line at ₹3,199 and ₹3,299. On 27 October 2026 its product page showed 28 customer reviews with an average of 4.79 out of 5.

What ₹3,000 buys in a wooden lamp, and what it doesn't
It buys real wood. At this price you are paying for a solid hardwood base cut and finished by hand, not a printed wood-look skin over board. Plenty of "wooden" lamps at this price are veneer or MDF, and photos rarely show it. Our guide to telling solid wood from veneer and MDF explains the checks: look at the end grain, look for grain that repeats, and ask the seller to name the species.
It does not buy a big lamp. All four are compact pieces that sit on a bedside table, desk or side table. None has a fabric shade or a tall stem. If you want a larger wooden piece, our rosewood frame table lamp is ₹5,999 on 27 October 2026, and the full range is in the wooden table lamps collection.
It buys ambient light, not reading light. The Luma Pillar and Rubik's Cube pages both describe their light as soft and atmospheric, not task lighting. The two Edison lamps dim up to full brightness, but an exposed filament bulb is still a mood light rather than a reading lamp. For reading in bed, pair one with a shaded lamp or a brighter overhead light. If you are unsure which colour of light suits the room, see warm white vs cool white for Indian homes.
Two kinds of light source. The Edison lamps use a screw-in filament bulb that comes in the box and can be swapped later. The Luma Pillar and Rubik's Cube use a built-in LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change.
Choosing one as a housewarming or Diwali gift
For a ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 gift, three of the four fit the budget, and the Luma Pillar comes in under it. A simple way to choose:
- For someone who likes things that start a conversation: the Rubik's Cube lamp. It looks like a sculpture when switched off and changes colour with a turn.
- For a new bedroom or study: the Rosewood Vintage Edison. The brass dimmer lets them turn the light right down at night.
- For a new living room: the Globe Edison, on a side table or console.
- For a calm, minimal home: the Luma Pillar.
None of them needs installing: each plugs into a standard Indian socket. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026. The product pages give dispatch in about 3 working days and delivery in roughly 5 to 7 days, so if the lamp has to arrive by a particular date, message us on WhatsApp with your pin code to check the timing before you order. Frequently asked questions
Is a ₹3,000 wooden lamp solid wood?
Not automatically. At this price many lamps are veneer or MDF with a wood-look finish. The four NixWoods lamps in this guide are each listed as solid wood with no MDF and no veneer; on the Rubik's Cube lamp the base is solid sheesham and the shade is a glass block. For any other lamp, ask the seller which species it is made from.
Which one is best for a bedside table?
The Luma Pillar if you want a soft, steady glow on a small footprint, or the Rosewood Vintage Edison if you want to dim the light down at night. Our guide to wooden table lamps for the bedroom has more on choosing a bedside lamp.
Do they need a separate bulb?
No. The Rosewood Vintage Edison and Globe Edison come with their filament bulb included. The Luma Pillar and the Rubik's Cube lamp have a built-in LED, so there is no bulb at all.
Can I dim them?
The two Edison lamps dim with their solid-brass knob. The Rubik's Cube lamp has no dimmer or remote: you change its colour by turning the block. The Luma Pillar's page does not list dimming, so treat it as on and off.
What warranty do they come with?
Three years on the wood, joinery and craft, and one year on the LED and electricals, as set out in our terms of sale.
