Warranty

We are certain about the wood.

Every NixWoods piece is cut, joined and finished by hand in our workshop in Khatauli, Uttar Pradesh, from solid hardwood — no MDF, no veneer. We back the part we make ourselves for three years.

What's covered

3 years — wood, joinery and craft

  • Joints separating, loosening or failing under normal indoor use.
  • Structural failure of the solid wood body.
  • Manufacturing defects in the woodwork or finish present at delivery.

1 year — LED and electricals

  • The integrated LED, driver, remote and wiring.
  • LED failure or flicker not caused by supply voltage, wiring errors or misuse.

Both periods run from the date your order is delivered.

What is not covered

Natural movement in the wood is not a defect — it is the point. Solid wood breathes. In humid months the grain will move slightly, and hairline shifts, minor checking and small changes in tone are normal in real hardwood. It is the clearest proof your piece is not laminate. This is not covered, and it is not a fault.

  • Colour and tone changing over time. Wood ages. Sunlight will lighten or deepen the tone — that patina is natural.
  • Grain, knots and tone varying between pieces. No two are identical. That is why you bought it.
  • Damage from water, steam or prolonged damp, including bathroom or outdoor use. Our pieces are for indoor, dry environments.
  • Prolonged direct sunlight and the fading or drying that follows.
  • Misuse, accident, drops, or normal wear — scratches, dents, marks from everyday use.
  • Incorrect installation or wiring, including work not carried out by a licensed electrician. Wiring errors void the electrical warranty.
  • Modification, refinishing or repair by anyone other than NixWoods.
  • Commercial or rental use, unless agreed with us in writing.

Damage in transit — separate, and faster

This is not a warranty matter. If your piece arrives damaged, WhatsApp us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we replace it free. No forms.

How to claim

  1. WhatsApp +91 92860 01060 with your Order ID and photos or a short video of the issue.
  2. We reply within 24 hours. Most things are solved on the chat.
  3. If it is covered, we repair or replace it. If a like-for-like replacement is not possible, we refund.
  4. We may ask for the piece back. If we do, we arrange and pay for the pickup.

Register your piece

WhatsApp us a photo of your installed light on +91 92860 01060 and we'll register your cover against your order. It is not required to claim — your order record is enough — but it makes it quicker.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is given voluntarily and in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. It does not limit them.
